偏远的偏远小镇，几代人都以打铜炉子为生。眼看着十二年一度的铸剑仪式就要举行了，但是村里的几位老工匠，却突然之间全部暴毙而亡。狄炼与祭司红蝶奉命前来查案，起因竟是一名死者，名为春娘。那位仍有魅力的寡妇在她12岁以前遭受了怎样的苦难？主人公狄炼在不断探究案情的过程中，揭开了一个尘封已久的民俗传说。
