宁浩旗下的“坏猴子”的新片《北京进行时》正式开拍，而《我和我的祖国》里那个让人难忘的北京“的哥”张北京，也仿佛还会继续下去。《北京进行时》节目的大致内容是，张北京因为儿子订婚而丢脸，但他在帮助了一位来自北漂邻边的脱口秀作家刘昂喜之后，终于找回了自己的存在感。刘昂喜以此为素材，将张北京推到了风口浪尖，多年的友情终于化解，而张北京也让刘昂喜对北京有了一个真实的认识，并且爱上了她。
