影片剧情围绕着香港警队内部的一场正邪对决展开 [2, 6]。故事讲述了警队内务部年轻警员小拾（古天乐饰）奉命在警队内部进行跨部门卧底，搜集缉毒组督察车正光（彭于晏饰）与黑道勾结的证据 [1, 3, 7, 8]。表面上，车正光通过以黑制黑的方式逮捕毒枭，但实际上是为了借围捕行动来帮助他的恩师摆脱勒索陷阱。小拾面临着兄弟之情与警察公理之间的艰难抉择，他能否坚守住绝对的“正义之门”，一场警队内部的较量即将爆发。

The young police officer Xiao Shi from the Internal Affairs Department of the police force was ordered to conduct an undercover operation across departments within the police force to gather evidence of Inspector Che Zhengguang, the supervisor of the Anti-Drug Unit, colluding with the underworld. On the surface, Che Zhengguang arrested drug lords using the black-on-black tactic, but in reality, he was using the roundup to break the extortion trap for his mentor. On one side is the brotherhood of like-minded individuals, and on the other is the righteousness of being a police officer. Will Xiao Shi continue to adhere to the absolute "door of justice"? A confrontation between righteousness and evil within the police force is about to unfold.
